Shore Shocked !
The Bull
Sharks kicked off there first season week 1 on March 1st. 2:30 pm in
Waldorf, MD vs. the Charles County Lions. As it was a hard fought game
the Bull Sharks lost by the score of 14-13 in which they started off the
game slow after a four hour road trip. The Bull Sharks offense gave up and
Int. for six points early putting them down 7-0 after the extra point.
Then the Sharks started to relax and punched it in with a run by fullback
Joe Caputo to knot the game at 7 a piece after the extra point. After that
the Lions scored on a return on special teams for another TD and added the
kick to take back a 7 point lead making the score 14-7.
After
halftime the Bull Sharks looked to have made some adjustments and scored
again on a QB sneak by Ed Cox and then got the extra point blocked making
it a 1 point game. In the final drive of the game the Bull Sharks drove
down inside the Lions five yard line with just over a minute to play in
regulation with the game looking very good for the Sharks they fumbled the
ball 3 yards from pay dirt and with about 45 seconds remaining the Lions
where then able to run the clock out to win 14-13. Coach Ryan was proud
of the team for playing hard but said that we must protect the football
better on offense and tighten up on special teams also that the defense
played a great game pitching a shut-out and we let one get away from us.
They look to get on track with another road game in Dove, DE on March 8th.
7:00 pm kick-off vs. the Punishers. Coach said that traveling and heart
breakers are part of the game even though we did good we have to get it
done.
